There are some spicy/woodsy notes that come and go and also a sour raisin bit that I got once or twice. If I push too hard I get a big whiff of ethanol but there are some sweeter notes of brown sugar and red fruits, to be honest it almost smells like an odd batch of Maker's CS. JD TM - Definitely something new from JD. Finish is still a little hot and spicy with a mellow corn (not MFC) and woodsy sweetness. Taste has the standard JD banana bread notes and a little spice that compliment the sweetness. Drinks a little hotter than some other BiB whiskies I've had recently. Banana on the nose with some of the lighter sweeter typical JD notes and a hint of ethanol. JD BiB - 80% Corn, 12% Malted Barley, 8% Rye. Jack Daniels Bonded & Triple Mash (Bonded). Jack Black seeming kinda meh? Try Gentleman, Single Barrel, Store Pick, + all their special editions, and now these two newbies. except for a few years in college (had a bad experience) and it's always been one that surprises me every time I come back to Jack.
